beds extremely comfortable. rooms large and has refrigerator and microwave. Great! staff very helpful especially the Manager. Location excellent to the college.
carpets old and somewhat dirty. Breakfast nothing to rave about. Had bread and butter everyday. surroundings needs cleaning, could not walk on sidewalk due to high grass which looks like it has not been cut in months. Pool needs cleaning more often. It was out for maintenance for a couple of days, so was the fitness centre.

The room was very comfortable.
The breakfast looked awful so I didn't eat it.

The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to the old town area of Chestertown and the river, which was very lovely.
Nothing for me.

The location was convenient. The woman working the front desk tried to help, but ultimately was unable to.
We needed to leave without staying. The first room's TV did not work. The second room was previously occupied by a smoker. Another smoke free room with a working TV was not available. We are still awaiting reimbursement.

The staff was very friendly, and helpful. I was extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the room, and the hotel grounds. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed that I have slept in, in years! The pool was very refreshing, and breakfast was delicious! Overall a great experience!
To be honest, my only small complaint was that the parking lot was a little small. There was a lot of work trucks in the parking lot, from the construction workers that were staying there at the same time. This kind of made parking at a premium.

Had a great Christmas getaway! The room was spacious and well-ventilated with a big comfy bed and great view. The staff was super-friendly and helpful with any questions we had. , the hotel was in a perfect location close to all the restaurants and shops in town.
The coffee machine in the room was busted and the ice machine didn't work very well. It would have been great to have regular cleaning of the room during our stay instead of having to call the front desk to request it.

Bathroom door didn't latch in our room. So my 2 year old kept flashing me. Lol

This is actually my second stay at this hotel. During my first stay, a gentleman at the front desk told us he had just purchased the hotel and they were in the midst of making repairs and updates. With the exception of my bedside lamp not working, the first stay was fine... no other complaints. This time, however, I was extremely disappointed. I can't say there was much to like about this overpriced hotel.
Ok, here we go... the room price was close to $200 for one night. Although it's close to the old town area of Chestertown, it's definitely not within walking distance of the quaint part of town. Next, lamps and wall plugs in our room did not work. Not only were the lamps seriously outdated, with no plugs to charge devices, but when I tried to turn on certain lamps, I had to switch their wall outlets to get them to work at all. The overhead light over the coffee/refrigerator counter was burned out. There was no fan or vent at all in the bathroom. The shower head literally trickled water. There was HAIR on the shower wall! There were exactly 3 tissues left in our tissue box, with no spare box. There were not enough towels and wash cloths for two women... exactly two of each. At least 3 of each towel is standard in most hotels, especially at $200 per night! When my roommate pulled her bath towel off the towel holder, it had a long black hair on it. Gross! Hairs on the shower wall, hair on the towel, burned out bulbs, lamps and electrical outlets that don't work, and a shower that trickles water... for $200 per night? Nope, won't stay there again. Seems the new owners have decided to cheapen things up, rather than make them nicer. I'd prefer the Holiday Inn next door! At least the lights in the room will work.

Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
In the morning breakfast room, the gal who had been working the front desk came in to talk to one of her colleagues. She was very loud, talking about work schedules and the colleague working 6 days a week. The guests, including us, couldn't hear each other talk or hear the TV news since their conversation went on for quite some time. Please use more discretion around guests.

The room was very large, and the bed was very comfortable.
There wasn't a shower curtain, so the bathroom floor got rather wet. There wasn't any soap in the ladies' room off of the lobby. This bathroom was next to the breakfast room, so the employees setting up the food may not have been able to wash their hands well.
